Dancer, Teacher, Choreographer, Musician, Composer, Business Owner & Director
Keith was born in
Manassas, Virginia, and began dancing at age four. His parents wanted all their children to dance and by age 13, due to his love of the stage and performing, he was considering a professional dance career. He met his lifelong inspiration,
Al Gilbert, at age 12 when he visited Al’s Hollywood studio. Al believed in him and Keith never forgot that. He went on to become a professional dancer appearing in five
Dr. Pepper commercials, three
Wendy’s commercials, as well as commercials for
McDonalds,
Dodge,
Hush Puppies,
Levi’s,
Milk and
Bob’s Big Boy to name just a few. He has also performed on stage in
"42nd Street" on
Broadway as
George M., as well as in
"A Chorus Line" and
"The Pajama Game." His dance talents have also led him to appearances on the
Academy Awards telecast, and performances with
Tim Conway,
The Carpenters and on
"Midnight Special." Keith is also an accomplished ballet dancer who has appeared on stage in
"The Nutcracker," "Swan Lake," "Le Corsaire," "The Firebird" and various neo-modern works with
Lawrence Blake and
Vicky Koenig, as well as three ballets with the
Los Angeles Chamber Ballet. Not only an accomplished dancer, he helped found an international dance convention and Hollywood dance studio in 1990, was commissioned to restructure the entire syllabi in tap and jazz for
The New Zealand Association of Modern Dance, and is an award winning choreographer. He received the
Drama-logue’s Critics Choice Award for
Best Choreography of a Musical for
"Anything Goes" with
Ellen Travolta at
South Coast Repertory Theater as well as the
Renowned Dance Teacher Award from
The Northeast Dance Teachers of New Hampshire. Keith is a very versatile teacher who moves fluidly from smooth Lyrical, to thrashing Jazz, to classical Ballet, to Tap that’s anything from
Astaire to
Stomp. He’s a dynamic teacher and we are excited to have him with us!
